The origin of “Peabeaux” is a play on my childhood nickname, Peebo. “Eaux” is commonly used to replace the “o” in the Louisiana/French culture. It is our goal at Peabeaux’s to provide the metropolitan Houston area a tasty delight that renames the traditional New Orleans style Po-boy as a “Peabeaux.” As the owner with a zest for cooking and knowledge of the Louisiana flavoring of food, I have understood the need for something unique that can bring a taste of Louisiana, my home state, to Houston. Po-boys, or “Peabeauxs” as we eloquently call ours, will be that taste of home in the historical Third Ward community that my wife and I love so much as residents. Peabeaux's represents more than just food - it represents a welcoming family environment, community and the preservation of the culture. Welcome to Peabeaux's!
